By Stephen Dakking Rappahannock News Staff Writer Meeting the deadline for the required signatures just in time, Tom Junk of Sperryville is now a candidate for the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors seat from the Piedmont District. Last week, Peter Hitchen - who had only recently announced he was running for the seat - withdrew saying that the “timing wasn’t right” and that he felt people needed more time to get to know him. That left, for a brief time before and after Hitchen’s brief campaign, Mike Biniek of Belle Meade Farm south of Sperryville, as the only candidate for the seat.
