Loudoun is the second fastest growing County in the United States, resulting in many transportation challenges We are linking lor a talented, highly motivated individual to serve as the Tyson's Lxpress Operations Manager in a can-do team environment This position requires specialized knowledge of public transit planning and oversight in all aspects of public transportation Job duties include the ability to perform route and schedule planning for Tyson's bus service including conducting public surveys and , hosting public input meetings, to coordinate serv ice w ith other Tyson s service providers; to work with contractor to refine route for timing, safety and driver training considerations. The qualified applicant must possess the ability to communicate effectively Kith verbally and in writing The term of this temporary position will conclude on or around December 31, 2013 Any combination of education ami experience equivalent to a Bachelor s degree in transportation planning or related field and at least a minimum of three years experience in planning oi managing public transportation or related field Subject to call during hours oi bus service Occasional early morning and evening hours mnv he required to monitor service delivery Flexibility to travel to meetings in Tyson s Corner and to monitor service delivery at County park and ride lots and-in Tyson s Corner is required.
