Sperryville Was Success
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department is well pleased with the results of the Lions Club min. strel, brought by the Culpeper Lions to S.H.S. auditorium, Tuesday night, March 28. In addition to an evening’s fine entertainment, the fire company realized $185 clear after all expenses were paid. Attendance showed 157 adults and 19 children present for the minstrel.

At Amissville
On Sunday night, April 2,. the Amissville Baptist church organized into a full-graded Baptist Training Union. The general officers of the Training Union are as follows:
William T. Bywaters, director; Roberta Holmes, associate director; Mrs. Riley, secretary and treasurer.
The three unions are the Adult Union, Mr. Everett president; the Young People’s Union, Miss Roberta Holmes, councilor; the Junior Union, Miss Helen Zinn, leader.
A total of 32 were present for the first meeting and all unions were off to an even start with each having 10 members present; not including the general officers.
