Rappahannock took itself over the Saturday to htdp Front Royal welcome Der Bingle with then- "B.ng Crosby Day." Mr. f lo liy was already ensconced in the hearts of the citizenry, anyway, and he wasn't content. He had to gild the lily by giving a cheek for $3,otto in addition to his former gift of -$1,000. Mr. Crosby saw to it that the Front Royal Recreation fund reached the $13,000-goal.

’Tis more blessed to give than to receive” was the tired but firm belief of many Front Royal folk Saturday night£ The merchants had given of time and money to see that everything went off right, cessfully for the youngsters, Pitts Theatre Corporation had given the use of the theatres, the special committee had given of time, energy, blood, sweat and tears to see thateverything went off right. They all—from Mr. Crosby on down the line to the smallest part —should feel proud of the successful day.
