Mr*. Ethel Lion
Mrs. Ethel Adamson Lion, former Manassas resident died April 1, at the home of her daughter, in Washington.
Mrs. Lion was 81 years of age, and had been in failing health for a number of years.
Mrs. Lion was born in Leith, Scotland on January 25, 1869,0 the daughter of Capt.. William Adamson and Emma Young Adamson. Capt. Adamson and his family came to this country from Edinburg, Scotland in 1871. They lived at “Broadsland’’ near Greenwich, Va., until 1881, when the family moved to Manassas. She continued to live there luntil eleven years ago when she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. W. C. Hall, in Charleston, W. Va., and for the past nine months in Washington.
Mrs. Lion received her education principally from private tutors and attended Dollar Academy for two years in Dollar, Scotland, staying with her aunts while there.
