Sells Trout Stream
L. R. Hudson of Slate Mills sold a trout stream recently to Capt. Fred Kochly (U. S. Army, ret.) of Washington, D. C. The stream, known as Broken Back Creek, goes around the Old Rag mountain near Nethers Myi.
Capt. Kochly has owned a farm on the stream for about four years. He already owned part of the stream and this purchase from L. R. Hudson completed Capt. Kochly’s ownership from the edge of the Park to Hughes River.
Spelling Bee
The Washington P.-T. A. would like to conduct an old-time spelling bee for its monthly program Monday nigh^ April 17, 7:30, in the school auditorium.
Dr. W.. G. Pendleton will be the pronouncer and the words will be, taken from a Practical High School speller.
There will be two judges and a prize for the lone speller on the floor.
