Rev. Guy C. Heyl
The union revival services for Washington Baptist and Methodst churches will be held, beginnng Monday, April 10. The Rev. Guy C. Heyl, pastor of Warrenton Baptist church will be the guest minister. He is a native of South Run, Va., and holds degrees from the University of Virginia and the Crozier Seminary. He has held pastorates in Upland and Pittsburgh, Penna. He has been pastor of the Warrenton Baptist church since June 1944.
Dennis—Smoot
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey T. Spioot of Washington, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Mary Edna Smoot, to Warren E. Dennis, son of Rev. and Mrs. W. B. Dennis of Castleton.
The wedding took place Saturday, March 25, 1950 at the home of Dr. A. R. Tyler of Rockville, Maryland.
The bride was attired in a white lace gown wit.» white accessories and wore a corsage of red roses. She is a graduate of Washington High School and was formerly employed at Washington C a s h Store.
Miss Colleen Dennis served as the bride’s attendant and wore an aqua blue satin dress and wore a wnite carnation.
Mr. Dennis’s best man was Mr. C. R. Winded of Washington, D. C.
Mr. Dennis is a graduate of Rockwell School of Piano Tuners in Clearfield, Pa., and is now employed with the Campbell Music Co., in Washington, D. C.
The reception was held at the apartment of the newlyweds where they are now at home on Park Drive.
