FRESHMAN PRESIDENT

Peggy Ann Green, president of the Freshman Class, has a very pleasing personality. She is always friendly. When there’s work to be done as a member of « .Student Council committee or a reporter for the paper, Peggy Ann pitches in and does more than her share. Her co-operative spirit makes her popular with both pupils and teachers.

She studies hard and is on the Honor Roll. In both basketball and softball she exhibits her good sportsmanship. ’

Peggy Ann is a member of the Glee Club- and of the Student Council.

Peggy Ann Green, a native of Amissville, will always do her best and will be a success.

Some of the members of our class attended the parade and Bing Crosby Day Saturday at Front Royal. Those that went reported that they had a nice time.

During Mrs. Moffett’s absence, while Mrs. Frank Moffett was here we spent one English period reading sentences over the recording machine and having them played back to us to let us hear how we sound when we talk. We did v/^ry well, but the next time we make a recording we- hope we will do better. 'I

We are looking forward/to the Easter holiday and we hope everyone has a nice holiday. /

Virgie Lee Dodson was missing . Monday because of influenza. Buddy Goode was missing Monday Tuesday, Wednesday, because of influenza.

Della Mae Mills was absent Thursday, because of a bad cold. France^ Poe was absent Friday because of influenza.

Doris Pritchett was absent Thursday because of a bad cold. Richard Williams was missing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday because of influenza.

Laura Walters was absent last Thursday because of a bad cold and sinus. Shirley Clark was absent Thursday because of a bad cold.
