It is mor« than interesting to note that the Cross was appearing upon the horizon for Jesus when He was entering Jerusalem, and when He cleansed the Temple. Yet. in knowing this, Jesus set His face toward the goal for which He came—the redemption of man* kind. He did not turn back.
Jesus went to the cross.
It isn't hard to imagine our* selves a part of the crowd cheering our Lord as He was entering Jerusalem. We would be glad to throw our best coat on the street for the little donkey to walk upon while bearing our Lord. We wojld be delighted to lay our finest flowers and plants in the way for the donkey to tread upon. If it were possible for Jesus to come into our community, we’d shout “Hosanna’’ until we couldn't whisper it.
We would like to have been near to watch Jesus cleanse the Temple. At least, we would hate held His coat for Him while He did it. It would have been an en-, joyable experience to watch those old traders hurry away in conli.sion. Good! Keep up the good work! What about Friday?
