Hubert Pascal Warden
Mrs. F. R. Slaughter ^)f Front Royal has been informed of the death of her brother, Hubert Pascal Warden, 85, of Delhi, Louisiana, on March 26.
Mr. Warden was born in Wardens- ille West Virginia March 18, 1865, ne was the son of Rev. William Jacob Warden, of the Presbyterian church, a native of Staunton, and his wife the former Miss Mary Wade Ashby of Culpeper.
Mr. Warden spent the early years of his life with his parents at "Hunters Hall’’ in Rappahannock county, going to Missouri at the age of 18. He was a graduate of law at the University of Missouri, and practiced his profession for years in Mexico, Missouri. Liter he was attorney for the Southern Pacific Railroad, but in recent years he moved to Louisiana, where he became interested in oil and real estate. He was twice married, his first wife being his cousin Alberta Strother, who died in 1936 leaving two children H. P. Warden, Jr, and Mrs. LaReine Clayton of Knoxville, Tenn. In 1940 he married another cousin, Miss Meta Strother Wood, of St. Louis, Mo., by whom,he is survived. He is also sur\ived by four children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother Charles W. Warder, of Washington, D. C., his sister Mrs. F. R. Slaughter and several nieces and nephews.
