Hospitalizes Local Couple

Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. King of Ben Venue Farms suffered injuries sustained in a car wreck on Sunday. Mr. King, who sustained a compound fracture of the leg and chest injuries is reported doing satisfactorily. Mrs. King, who suffered compound fracture of the right knee and lacerations of the face, is reported doing nicely.

Trooper J. H. Smith, investigating officer, said that the Ford driven by Claude Green of Front Royal, was headed south on Route 522 and collided head on in the northbound lane with the Plymouth operated by King which was headed in the opposite direction. Both vehicles were said to be a total loss.

Churches Secure Pastor

The Rev. Gilbert M. Profitt of Darlington, South Carolina has become pastor of the Flint Hill and Washington Baptist Churches effective November 1.

Rev. Profitt arrived from South Carolina on October 27. He is a graduate of the Southern Baptist Seminary and is a native of Kentucky.

Mrs. Profitt is a former home missionary of Eastern Kentucky and a Canadian by birth. She was reared in Rhode Island and considers this her home state. Rev. and Mrs. Profitt have two sons, ages 11 and 5.

No preaching schedule has been arranged but will be worked out upon Mr. Profitt’s arrival.
