BRIDGE PARTY

Mrs. Irvin R. Kflby entertained at dessert bridge at her apartment in Sperryville on Tuesday evening with four tables arranged for the game. Those invited were Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. Carroll Menefee, Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. George Taylor, Mrs. R. E. Thompson, Mrs. Charles H. Estes, Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Mrs. D. Lyle Miller, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Mrs C H. H. Branch, Mrs. J. W. Price, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. L.J. Kilby and Mrs. John P. Snead. Mrs. Quaintance won high prize, Mrs. Snead won traveling and the booby went to Mrs. Wood.

INJURES KNEE

Diane Nethers, one of the twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. John Nethers, cut her knee severely Saturday and had to be taken to a doctor, who took several stitches.

Mr. and Mrs. Iva Jacobs and son were Culpeper visitors last Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Duncan, Mrs. Elsie Cropp and Mrs. Campbell visited Mrs. Lillie Jeffries in Rixeyville last Sunday afternoon. .

Mr. and Mrs. Sim Hutton of Front Royal are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walters.

Mrs. Jennie Smith, Mrs. Richie Colvin and Miss Erva Poe spent Thursday afternoon with Miss Virginia Tapp.

Miss Erva Poe was a Warrenton visitor last Friday.
