We cannot vote for more of this and consider ourselves to be fit parents. All children need ideals and the least we can do is to give them a National government of honesty and integrity. Contrary to the opinion of th§ present Administration, we think there are too few Byrds in Washington, and too few Tucks and Guests in Virginia.
BECAUSE The bungling of foreign affairs and the shortsighted policy of “softness” have resulted in: Losing the peace so dearly won in World War II The “give-away” programs of Yalta and Potsdam The insane Korean war with its endless peace talks, and Ever-increasing casualty lists. With all this, just what future do we offer our boys as they reach 18?
BECAUSE We believe that communist infiltration of government) other agencies, and even of Atomic Energy personnel is a grave danger and not a “red herring/* We want a government that will help—-not hinder— us in cleaning it out. The least we can do for our children is to keep safe OUR atomic secrets,* and not let them get into hostile foreign hands, to be used against OUR children later.
BECAUSE The reckless and spendthrift policies of the present Administration have resulted in: The largest Federal bureaucracy and the largest Federal payroll in history.
