Recent week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Singleton were Lt. and Mrs. Carl Dicks and children, Mathew and Carl Jr. of Newport, Rhode Island, Mrs. Doris Mathews, an^children, Tonita, Michael and G. B., Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stephins, all of Alexandria, Mrs. Lucile Herndon Eheart and daughter, Miss Maleline Eheart of Arlington. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Singleton were Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Rector of Marshall.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Singleton who have been the guests of their paemts, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Singleton, have returned to their home in Gary, Indiana. Mrs. Singleton, who was taken suddenly ill soon after her arrival, was hospitalized at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville had recovered sufficiently to make the trip to her home. Mrs. Della B. Howard and Mrs. James M. Yates spent Wednesday in Washington, D. C. Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Miss Lucile Brown, Mrs. Frankie Menefee and Mrs. James M. Yates were shopping in Harrisonburg on Friday. Mr, and Mrs. A. L, Smith of Washington, D. C. spent the weekend at “Barlow” with Mrs. Helen Bruce and family.
