Mrs. Paul Miller, hostess for Flint Hill H.D. Club Tuesday evening opened meeting with devotions. Mrs. Barbara Gentry led the group in singing. Nominating Committee appointed was Mrs. Roberta Massie and Mrs. Barbara Gentry.
Mrs. Barbara Gentry, craft leader, demonstrated wood chipping and six members participated. Others present completed articles by decorating with textile paint.
During the past week I have been visiting the result demonstrators all over Rapahannock. When checking over these records I find a number of improvements have been made by this group in the past year. The result demonstrators for living rooms,* tying springs, upholstering or making slip covers were: Mrs. Jean Gallihugh, Mrs. Lily Barber, Mrs. Frank Cary, Mrs. Carson Lillard, Mrs. Carl Carpenter, Mrs. Edna Schaefer and Mrs. Floyd Cotnpton, and Mrs. Jack Bruce. Other improvements in lighting. Besides group listed above improvements were made by Mrs. C. B. Johnson, Mrs. Irving Sisk and Mrs. Grace Reid. * Outstanding activity of home grounds demonstrators has been planting and planning of annuals, perennials and shrubs for bloom throughout the year. The families working as this group of demonstrators were Mrs. Catherine Riley, Mrs. Alma Riley, Mrs. Les Walters, Mrs. John Woodward, Mrs. Mamie Leake, Miss Elsie Courtney, Mrs. J. G. Revercomb, Mrs. Earl Wayland, Mrs. Jean Gallihugh, Mrs. Lillie Yowell, Mrs. Eddie Gore, Mrs. C. R. Hite, Mrs. A. Hv Buckner, Mrs. L. R. Hudson, Mrs. Buck Brown, Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. Lily Barber, Miss Nellie Johnson, Mrs. C. B. Johnson, Flower Borders: Mrs. Wade Pullen, Mrs. Luther Jenkins Sr., Mrs. Luther Jenkins Jr., Mrs. Henry Sisk and Mrs. Marshall Jenkins.
