SoU Tour Held

The VPI Professors, who are conducting soil surveys in the state were so very much impressed by the attendance and inthusiasm of the first meeting of the Rappahannock County Agronomy and Horticulture committees, that county agent W.H. Lyne is reasonable sure, if the same interest is shown at the second meeting on Thursday, November 6, beginning from the Courthouse at 10 a.m., that a soil survey will be taken by VPI experts. This tour will include soils of F. T. Valley, Flint Hill, Amissville—and Washington areas which were not included in the previous tour.
It is most important that the members of the Agronomy, Livestock and Horticulture Committees, Professional Agriculture workers, Board of Supe rvisors, Realators, Bank Cashiers and a representative of the Rappahannock News be present. A soil survey of Rappahannock Co. is thought by experts to be the soundest and most fundamental step we can take towards improving our county’s agricultural and the welfare of the people.
