Highlight HD Meet
Moygashel linens in a fashion show will be the featured attraction at the annual meeting of District VIII Home Demonstration clubs to be held in Manassas, Thursday, April 8. This fashion show is being presented around the United States now on television. It will arrive in the Washington, D. C. area in time for this meeting. This is the only group who will be privileged to see the show in person, and it is being presented through the courtesy of Woodward and Lothrop. The other counties in district 8 are Culpeper, Madison, Fauquier, Fairfax, Arlington, Prince William. About 500 are expected to view the fashion show and transact the business of the district. Checks for Pennies For Friendship, a movement for international friendship and good-will, will be sent to the treasurer before the meeting, and then each county will present a gift for the Student Loan Fund, which lends money to home economics students, and to student nurses. «
