Thomas F. Atkins
f Thomas F. Atkins, age 93, died Friday evening, February 7, 1964 in the Page Memorial Hospital, Luray, Va. Mr. Atkins was a native of Rappahannock County, the son of the late George and Elmira Atkins, and with his wife lived near Sperryville until December 1961. Due tofailing health they mo'ed to Luray and made their home with a son and a daughter there.Mrs. Atkins preceded him in death five months. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Sue Raleigh, Luray,with whom he was living at the time of his death, and Mrs. Margaret Campbell, Sperryville; three sons Bradley Atkins, Hugh S. Atkins of Sperryville and Herman Atkins, Luray. Five children are deceased. Nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Annie Woodard and Mrs. Mae Woodard of Sperryville; and a brother Joe Atkins. The Rev. Edwin Bradley of Luray conducted graveside services Sunday afternoon in Sperryville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charlie Estes, Elmer Atkins, Roy Leake, Clyde Atkins, Carson Johnson and Thomas Taylor.
