Not enough snow? The six to eight inches of snow which fell in Rappahannock Monday night and Tuesday apparently did not satisfy Skyline Ski Area, for Tuesday afternoon they were busy making more. Seriously, the snow delighted the ski area operators after several weeks of unsasonably warm wea'her but winds drifted the snow leaving bare spots on the hillsides. Artificial snow was made to cover the bare places and add a crust over the natural snow. New snowmaking equipm ent has been installd by Snow Makers, Inc. with larger nozzles which will make snow at higher temperatures. The artificial snow is made by blowing compressed air and Water together.
