rnnce wimam county women are hostesses for this meeting and lunch will be served at the National Guard Armory, site of the meeting this year. The hostesses promise an exciting and interesting day. They urge all club members, and any interested women to come to the meeting. They have extended their invitation early so that busy women may plan their schedules in order to see this outstanding fashion show and enjoy the other features of the program.
Luncheon tickets may be obtained from Miss Harriet Goode, home agent. The menu includes a turkey salad plate, dessert and beverage.

On Mission Work
Approximately fifty people gathered at the Flint Hill Fire Hall last Saturday evening to welcome and meet Miss Marjorie Tyson, a missionary of the Method 1st Church to the Philippines. After a delicious meal prepared by the ladles present, Miss Tyson showed slides which she had taken and told of many factfilled experiences about the Philippines and her work. She wore a native Filipino formal dress which had been given to her by her Bishop when she departed the islands for a temporary leave of absence. She also displayed several articles that demonstrated their culture Including dolls which showed various forms of native dress. Miss Tyson spoke in the Willis Chapel and Flint Hill Methodist Churches on Sunday morning bringing an inspirational and challenging message. She pointed out that Christ might have told the people of his time to go only into their own country to preach but that His message was “Go Ye Therefore into the World*. She also explained that it takes three to make Missions effective: the sendder, the goer, and the receiver. She challenged the congregations to become senders Miss Tyson was born and reared in Portsmouth, Virginia. She attended William and Mary College in Williamsburg and received a B. S. degree in Education from the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary. She has also-attended Garrett Theological Seminary and holds a Master of Arts degree in Religion from Northwestern University.
