Wrecks Reported;
Brothers Collide
No serious injuries resulted in four traffic incidents occurring in the county since last reporting. Two Amissville brothers collided when they met on the crest of a hill on Route 639 last Wednesday. James Louis Hackley driving a ’55 Ford, skidded on ice on the hill top, striking Edward Roger Hackley, operating a ‘61 Ford. Neither of them were injured. Damage to the two vehicles was $300, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin who investigated the accident. At 6 p.m. the same day a two vehicle collision occurred in the Town of Washington. A ‘64 Jeep Wagoneer operated by John Randolph Jones of Charlottesville struck a '61 Cadillac owned by P. W. Scudere of Washington. The Cadillac was partially parked on the highway in front of the Scudere home. Jones struck the left rear door which was open, according to Trooper Buntin.
