Period Announced

The enrollment period tor tne 1965 Program runs from Feb. 8, 1965 through March 26, 1965. There is a substitution provision in the 1965 program for growers who take part in both the wheat and the feed grain programs. They will be able to grow wheat on feed grain acreage or feed grain on wheat acreage. As in 1964 there will be no harvesting of diverted acres, no grazing between April 30 and November 1, no doublecropping, and land must be in eligible conserving use. Minimum diversion will be 20% of the farm base. Maximum diversion will be 50% of the farm base or 25 acres - whichever is greater. The entire base can be diverted if 25 acres or less. This is a voluntary program. Remember the sign-up perioc is from Feb. 8, 1965 until March 26, 1965.

Wool and lamb producers are reminded that there are only a few more days to turn in sales slips for 1964. The last day we can accept these is February 1, 1965.
