Also sold by the brokerage firm was a 55-acre farm owned by Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Longstaff, part of a larger acreage owned by the Longstaffs on State Road 600 in Piedmont District. The Longstaffs are retaining the balance of the acreage. The 55acre parcel includes an apple orchard, barn, and attractive farmhouse. The purchasers of the Longstaff property are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Elmore of Falls Church. They plan to rent out the property for the time being, since Mr. Elmore is schedule to go overseas soon as an Army civilian. He is a former Army Captain now engaged in recruithjg operations.
Mr. and Mrs. W. K.‘Davis has contracted to purchase the beautiful wh^te colonial home known as “Oak Hill* on the farm of NJr. and Mrs. C. E. (Ned) Johnson, Jr., on the outskirts of Sperryville, according to Mr. Harris. Mr. Davis is in the sheet metal business.
