Service Medal
On January 22, 1964, Army Captain Richard E. McNear, son of Colonel and Mrs, E. A. McNear of Greenwood Farm, Washington, Virginia, was pre sented the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious ser vice while commanding an Engineer Combat Company in Korea. The presentation was made at Fort Belvoir where Captain McNear is attending the Engineer Career Course. A copy of the citationfollows. Captain McNear was recently promoted to that grade on 21 December 1964.
