Thev should be moved from lambing pens to ; small group of ewes wit! lambs of about the same age. Most lamb losses occur during the first two weeks, so this small grouping will allow close observation of lambs, and will let you gradually increase the ewes’ ration. Ewes and lambs can then be moved and put in with larger groups of lambs where a creep feeder has been provided. Sheep need close attention at lambing time, says Allen, but they give a high return for this extra attention.
