The Rev. and Mrs. Arnold Sorrells had as guests from Friday until Monday Mrs. Sorrells' mother, Mrs. E. R. Shelton and sister, Mrs. Anne Cralgo and two children, Ricky and Robbie of Tulsa, Okla. Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning entertained with two tables of bridge Saturday evening having as guests Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey of Woodville and Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood of Sperryville. Weekend guests of Mrs. James Settle were her daughter, Mrs. R. J. Petersen and three children, Susan, Bobby and Ken of Alexandria and Mrs. Philip Day of Arlington. Edgar (Butch) Browning arrived Monday to spend a week’s semester break from the University of Virginia with his parents Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning. Mrs. Barbara Gentry was a weekend visitor In Richmond. Callers Sunday of Mrs. John R. Moore were Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Moore, Mrs. Mary Krause and Miss Lottie Prints Mrs. Richard Pullen of Blackstone was a visitor Monday of her sister-in-law Mrs. Edwin Eastham. Mrs. Pullen will move shortly to Richmond where she has taken a position. The meeting of the W. S. C.S. of Flint Hill Methodist Churcj} held Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Ida Trump was attended by Mrs. Barbara Gentry, Mrs. E. M. Eastham, Mrs. Lock Burford, Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr., Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr., Mrs. James Grimmer and Mrs. Paul Miller. Observance was made of the Day of Prayer. Mr. and Mrs Maurice Walker and two children of Falls Church spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Cook.
