Mr. Atkins
Are Married The marriage of Miss Janet Elizabeth Evans, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Evans, all of Luray, to Cecil Eugene Atkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Earl Atkins, all of Sperryville, took place Saturday, Jan. 23, at 3 p.m. at the home of the officiating minister, the Rev. Louis E. Carson of the Luray Methodist Church. The doublering ceremony was used. The bride was attired in an ivory brocade suit with matching accessories. Immediately following the ceremony, they left for a northern wedding trip. They will reside in Warrenton, where Mr. Atkins is employed by the State Highway Department.
Mr. Atkins is a graduate of Rappahannock County High School. Mrs. Atkins attended Luray High School. A miscellaneous shower was given the bride Thursday night by Mrs. C. A. Rothfuss, and her daughters, Misses Nancy and JoAnn Rothfuss. Decorations were green and white.
