^Two important 4-H events1 are coming up in March. We mention these now to avoid conflict with other major county organizations jneeting on those dates. On Saturday, March 20, at RCHS the annual 4-H Supper will be held between 5:30 and 7:30 p. m. The 4-H supper committee met with us and suggested a Swiss steak as the main dish. This will be the first time we’ve ever had steak for our 4-H supper. Club members will be selling tickets in about two weeks for the event. Even with steak we expect the price to be the same, $1.25 for adults and 75 cents for 12 and under. The following Saturday March 27, our county-widi 4-H demonstration day willbej held at RCHS from 9 a. m.' to noon. All 4-H boys and girls will have a chance to give a project demonstration. We hope parents will encourage their 4-H’ers to take part Older 4-H boys and girls can later compete in the nineteen county demonstration contests to be held April 10 at Madison. Livestock judging will be held May 15. No dat£ for tractor driving has beeri" announced.
So far eighteen 4-H forestry seedling orders for over two thousand seedlings have been received. Boys and girls in 4-H can receive up to two hundred white or loblolly pines free for their forestry projects.
