There is usually no warning as the deadly vapor works, and symptoms of illness don’t appear until after the danger has been done. The vapor affects the brain and liver and sometimes stops the kidney functions. Most vicr tims of carbon tet poisoning die from kidney failure. For spme unknown reason alcohol in the blood makes a person far more susceptible to carbon tet poisoning. Many cases of carbon tet poisoning go unreported each year because victims forget to mention they were using carbon tet. Safety officials have repeatedly warned people not to use the substance. They point out that industry has banned it as a solvent because so many workers have been poisoned. To be safe, never use carbon tet in a closed room, and never Iliquor. Better still, don’t use carbon tetrachloride at all around the house. Leave it to the professionals in industry.
