Crusade Head

John D. Buck, Radford Commonwealth’s Attorney, will again head the American Cancer Crusade in Virginia, it was announced today by Dr. Robert J. Faulconer of Norfolk, President of the Society’s Virginia Division. The goal of the April educational and fund-raising drive in Virginia is $760,000, according to Dr. Faulconer. Under Buck’s leadership, receipts for the 1964 crusade reached an all-time high of $748,848. The State Crusade Chairman has been active in the work of the Society for several years, both in the Virginia Division and in the Montgomery County/Radford Unit. He previously served as president and fund-raising chairman for his local unit and currently is second vice president and a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Divisions

Buck is a graduate of Salem College in Salem, West Virginia, and of the University of Richmond School of Law, and is engaged in the general practice of law in Radford. He was elected Commonwealth's Attorney for Radford in 1961, having previously served as Judge of the Radford Municipal and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for several years^ The Society's April Crusade will place particular emphasis on the “Tell Your Neighbor" person-to-person educational
