The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall Monday, June 21 from 12 noon until 5;45 p. m. Whether you wish to donate blood at the noon hour, during the afternoon or following work is your choice. Many repeated donors will be on hand and it is hoped that a good number of new people will share in this vital service . Persons between the ages of 18 and 21 must present a signed statement of permission from their parent or guardian. Blanks for this purpose may be obtained from the News office. Blood is life and health. .Let us act on June 21 to insure a supply when needed for this county as distributed by the American Red Cross Blood Program. If you are 18 of age or up to 60, you are needed.
Firemen's Convention Set in Winchester
The 1965 Northern Virginia Firemen’s Association and indies Auxiliary Convention “ will be held June 17-18-19 at Ward Plaza, South Winchester The Shawnee Fire Company will be center of activities during the three days. Russell Barr of Harrisonburg, president of the association firemen and Gladys Brown of Broadway, president of the auxiliary, have planned a full schedule. There are 47 companies and 23 auxiliaries in the association.
