James R. Griffith of Front Royal will receive his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army on June 12 and on the 13th of J u n e he will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics at commencement exercises at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Griffith of Front Royal and grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James William Griffith of Rappahannock County. He will be employed during the summer at the Front Royal Beef Cattle Research Station and on September 3 will enter the Signal Corps.
