Mr*. Mary S. Amory

Mrs. Mary Settle Amory, widow of C. P. Amory, died Friday, June 4, 1965, in Newport News after many years of failing health. She was born in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. George W. Settle of Locust Grove, Flint Hill. She is survived by one son James F. Amory who is with the State Department in r*?3el, Switzerland; two sisters, Mrs. Warren Eastham of Shady Side Md., and Mrs. Warren Frank of Luray, and a foster-sister Miss Kate Walker of Washington, Va.; three brothers, Thomas H. Settle of Orlando, Fla., George W. Settle, Jr. of Powhatan, and S. B. Settle of Parkersburg, W. Va. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Hilton Village Methodist Church with interment in Riverside Cemetery, Newport News.
