Mrs. Charles Dudley Wood of Seattle, Washington, sisterin-law of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and was dressed like the other attendant. Mr. Charles was his son’s best man and ushers were Mr. Timonthy Anthony of Red Springs, and Lt. Charles Dudley Wood, the bride’s brother, of Seattle. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Wood chose a pink silklinen dress with matching accessories and a corsage of pink roses. The Bridegroom’s mother wore a dress of yellow crepe with a yellow rose corsage.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The couple, students at St. Andrews, will live in Laurinburg, North Carolina.

Mrs. E. N. Montague was hostess to the Sperryville Bridge Club on Friday night at her home. Her guests included Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. R. E. Patzig Mrs. Charles Estes, Mrs. Elmo D. Flynt, Mrs. R. E. Thompsen and Mrs. Thomas J. Pillar. High score prize winners were Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Johnson with Mrs. Thompsen the Bingo winner.

Mrs. Rayner V. Snead was hostess to the Washington Bridge Club and additional guests Thursday evening at her home Fairlea. Her guests were Mrs. Harry Lee Smith, Miss Molly Smith, Mrs. T. C. Lea, Jr., Mrs. Ralph Styer, Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Sr. and Mrs. Moffett, Jr., Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. Henry Keyser, Mrs. E. M. Jones, Mrs. Fred Schaefer and Mrs. T. L. Eastham. Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Eastham, Mrs. Lea and Mrs. Miller were awarded prizes.
