Senior Class Attends
Party and Theatre
Following Commencement exercises Friday night at the RCHS Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Palmer were hosts at a party honoring the graduating class at their home Scuffle Hill near Washington. On Saturday night members of the graduating class attended a theatre party at Wayside Theatre in Middletown to see the current production of *Mary, JVjary" preceded by dinner at the Wayside Inn. The young people were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Boze and Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Palmer and Wilson Atkins. Others in the group were Janice Dodson, Julia Brown, V i r g i n i a Bradford, John O’Bannon, Linda Beahm Leslie Titchenell, Tim Kilby, Thomas Atkins, Martha Shillingburg, Patrick Alther, Jack Atkins, Jessie Wines, Judy Mills, Frances Williams, Roger Woodard, David Palmer Brenda Nalls, Arlene Fincham and Mary Jenkins.
Arts and Crafts Set
Summer Schedule
The Arts and Crafts group will meet on the second Tuesday of the month during June, July and August at 10 a.m. at Cab Inn, Sperryville. Beginning in September the workshops will be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The classes now in progress in ceramics will continue as the summer project and announcement of the meetings will be published in this paper. The class next week will meet at the home of Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Sperryville with glazing as the subject and demonstration. All who are working on a piece of pottery should get the object to Mrs. Pillar as soon as possible in order that the bisque baking can be done in readiness for next week’s class in glazing.
Easter Seal Report
R. N. Easter Seal Report Although final figures are not available, the Easter Seal Campaign in Virginia to date has realized $250,000. These funds will be used to provide medical assistance, treatment, services, t h e r a p y, camping experiences, orthopedic appliances, etc. to many, many crippled children and adults in the state.
Jenkins Receives Ham
A spokesman for the Sperryville Revelettes has announced that Conner Jenkins of Boston received the ham which was recently given away by that group.
