Miss Betty Kennedy of Alexandria fspent a long holiday week-end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Waver Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy is spending the week at home from his work with the Highway Dept, in Fairfax. Mrs. Arlene Fincham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fincham, is the only student in this area who graduated Friday from Rappahannock High School this year. Mr. and Mrs. Wade White and daughters Ellen and Betty and Mr. and Mrs. Hartwell White, all of ForkUnion, were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carter White. Mr. and Mrs. John Hurt and children Charlotte and Wayne of Criglersville entertained at a birthday dinner Sunday honoring Mrs. Clemon Woodward. Mr. Woodward and their five children also attended. . Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Barfield and family of Berryville and Mrs. Hazel Barfield visited the Rev. Paul Davis Jr. at the parsonage at Criglersville Sunday afternoon. The Barfield’s returned to Berryville Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Rupert W. Quaintance, Jr. and family of Culpeper were Sunday evening supper guests of Mr. Quaintance’s mother and aunt Mrs. R. W. Quaintance and Miss Elsie Ramsey. Mrs. George Herman and children of Bethesda spent Sunday at Holly Spring Farm as the guests of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Brice Biggers and brother and sister-inlaw Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Powers and family. Other guests of the Powers’ were Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Driscoll and family of Culpeper. Mis 6 Kathy Powers returned home with the Driscolls for a visit of several days. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur T. Cobert and son Craig spent the day Saturday in Richmond and celebrated Craig’s 14th birthday with dinner and the movies Sunday supper guests of the Cobert’s were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Yancey and children of Culpeper. Mr. and Mi's. Vernon D. Henderson and son of Fredericksburg were Saturday afternoon callers of Mrs. Henderson’s father the Rev. W. B. Dennis.
Lee Hudson, who has a month’s vacation, and Karl Peterson, both of Washington, D. C. arrived Memorial Day week-end to enjoy a month’s stay at their home here. Last week Mrs. Catherine Hudson of Washington, D. C. spent several days here visiting her son and Mr. Peterson. Monday’s guest was Frederick
