Minor Accidents
Occur over Weekend
Minor traffic incidents were reported during the weekend by State Police. A two-car accident on Route 211 in Amissville Sunday at 5:45 p.m. resulted in $100 damage and no injuries. According to Trooper W. A. Buntin, Gerald Peter Savitski of Hyattsville, Md. operating a '57 Cadillac was struck in the rear by James William Grigsby of Boston, Va. The Grigsby vehicle, a '50 Ford, was not damaged. Extent of damage to the Cadillac was $100. Friday, June 4th, Netus Dodson of gSperryville ran off the left of Route 211 in front of Leeway Farm between Washington and Sperryville. Dodson, who apparently fell asleep was not injured, said Trooper Buntin. Trooper R. M. Dodson report ed a two-car collision on Route 211 near Ben Venue Sunday, June 6 at 10 a.m. W. C. Hall of Rose Hill, Washington, Va., operating a 59 Oldsmobile, was struck by a 63 Falcon. Operator of the Falcon was A. C. Sprinivasa Rao of Washington, D. C., the Assistant to the Ambassador from India. There were no serious injuries resulting from the crash though Mr. Hall complained with his neck and back. Damage to the vehicles was estimated at $400 to the Falcon and $300 to the Olds.
