Materials Needed for
Historical Exhibit
The County Library and the Rappahannock Historical Society are cooperating to bring together the first all county exhibit of historical items made and used in the early ’days in this area. Although the desire of the Committee on exhibits is to emphasize the growing, processing, and weaving of cottons and wools, it is planned to have as many allied articles as is possible to collect for exhibition. Any of the tools, implements, or design accoutrements, as well as the finished products, such as bed covers, linens, tablecloths, and any other hand work in cloth will be carefully displayed with the name of the owner on them. In these things the help of everyone possessing precious historic items is needed in order to put on a good display. Items not related to weaving will be included.
The exhibit will be at the Library during the weekend of the Fourth of July and will be open to the public without charge. Hundreds of people pass through the County during that weekend. We hope to invite some of them to stop and view the handiwork of our ancestors on their way through. Will you help? The Library has several recently published book s on the shelves. The summer is a good time to catch up on some of your reading. Drop by on a Wednesday afternoon ora Saturday morning and look! over the three thousand books for reading now catalogued and ready for circulation. The dedicated and efficient Library Staff will give you every courtesy.
Thornton Gap Revival Begins June 14
The Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church will hold a Revival starting June 14 thru June 19 at 7:30 p.m. Elder James W„ Adkins of Boyce will be the speaker. Everyone is cordially' invited to attend.

Sponsor Box Supper
The Washington Methodist Church will sponsor a Box Supper on Friday, June 18, 1965. The menu includes: Fried Chicken, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Deviled Eggs, Tomatoes, Hot Rolls, and Sheet Cake. The price is $1.25, The box suppers will be delivered if requested or can be picked up between 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Episcopal Parish Hall. Tickets are oh sale now and can be purchased from any member of the Methodist Church.
