More than sixty persons, members of ski patrols, attended a weekend refresher course in first aid on the slopes held Saturday and Sunday at Big Devil Ski Area, Washington, Va. A dozen >f the patrolmen are those who lave and will patrol Big Devil. Miss Diane DeBergh of Rappahannock participated in the :ourse. Diane has become an expert skiier since the establishment of the resort near her home. Robert Gamble who owns Big [)evi] is doing extensive imjroving and renovating at the ski area. A chair lift is being installed and new slopes created which will >e joined to existing ones by new rials.
4-H Report
The Sixth Grade 4-H Club at Rappahannock County Elementary School met October 22 and discussed projects which they would like to the rest of the year. Mrs. Vest, club leader, showed the group how to make buttons and Extension Agent Miss Kay Webb demonstrated the art of macrame.
