Henry R. Hudson, a 34 year old native of Rappahannock, is a 1955 graduate of Rappahannock County High School and served with the U. S. Army from 1961-63. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hudson and married the former Barbara Burke. They have two sons, David and Mark. Mr. Hudson has had experience in farming, farm management and real estate. Mrs. Ruth B. Grimsley of Flint Hill is a third candidate, and according to her statement she has had experience in office management, bookkeeping, secretarial work, and preparation of all tax returns.
She graduated from Anderson College in South Carolina and has taken courses at Madison College, Harrisonburg; University of New York at Fredonia; the University of Virginia and Lord Fairfax Community College.
She is a widow, 39 years old and has two daughters Rachael and Eva, 10 and 12.
Vernon Leake of Sperryville concludes those qualifying as candidates for the Commissioner of the Revenue. He is 51 years of age, a native of Rappahannock and attended public schools here. He is single and has attended Madison College, Harrisonburg.
