Carlton Harper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlon Harper, celebrated his eighth birthday Sunday with a party at his home. W. M. Stuart of Beltsville, Md. spent ten days recently at his horn? on Blue Ridge Avenue. His son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. John M. Stuart and children, Kevin, Elizabeth and Virginia, of Wheaton, Md. were his guests last weekend.
Mrs. William A. Curtis with Mrs. Walter J. Curtis of Flint Hill spent several days last week with her son-in-law and daughter, Lt. and Mrs. David Collins at Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, N. C. Mrs. Collins and daughter Michelle returned home with them Thursday for a two-week visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Curtis. Lt. Collins will arrive for the weekend and with Mrs. Collins will attend Homecoming festivities Saturday at the University of Maryland. Stewart Hawkins of Norfolk spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton M. Hawkins, Jr.
Mr. and Mrs. Quentin McCoy and three children and Mrs. F. Downing Wood spent the weekend with Mr. McCoy’s uncle Samuel Sandidge and Mrs. Sandidge at Wilmington, N. C.
Miss Annie Cooksey left Monday to make her home at the Virginia Baptist Home in Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Reams of Richmond spent the weekend with Mrs. Reams’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Morgan Johnston. Sunday visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCarty of Front Royal. Guests last Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Carver were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Oldham of Arlington. Dinner guests Wednesday of this week were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Urban of Washington, D. C. and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson H. Eimer of Arlington.
