Recently I had the privilege and pleasure of Climbing Rag Mountain again, with friends. It was a wonderful experience, we met so many friendly people. Some were from the mid-west, some from the New England States, some from the south. One lady said, “Would you believe Madison, Virginia?” Yes, I could believe Sperryville. Some were church and school groups, some hikers with their packs. And oh so weary, it was a pity to see the elderly climbing up those rocks. Elderly? Well, we held right in there. Guess the highlight of the trip was in rescuing three exhausted doctors from Sinai Hospital, Baltimore. They were very grateful.
Seeing so many tired people made me think of Christ’s invitation as recorded in Matthew 11th chapter. “Come unto me all of you who toil and carry heavy loads, and I will give you rest.
