DISTRIBUTION of $113,048,783 for construction and maintenance on Virginia’s 43,000-mile secondary road system in the fiscal year which will begin July 1 has been announced by the State Department of Highways and Transportation.
It’s an increase of nearly $10,000,000 over the sum for the current fiscal year, but is about a million dollars below the level contemplated in the state’s 197282 road and street improvement program because state road use tax revenues has fallen below estimates.
