Children do not necessarily learn about drugs at school or from playmates. They are very often unintentionally taught what to think about and how to use drugs by their parents before they even go to school--when they see their parents take or give medicine, use alcohol, etc. The DAP tries to help families take a fresh look at old practices in order to aid the family in dealing with drugs or alcohol use before there can be a drug problem.
