The above facts are just a few of the reasons mental health, mental retardation, and geriatric services are provided in our communities. Mental Health like physical health, is broad and varied. Problems can start before we are born, or can come in later years from the problems of being alone. Mental retardation, broken homes, speech and hearing defects, abuse of alcohol and drugs, these are all real problems in our community — the list is long.
