Mrs. Brown

Mrs. Anna Smith Brown of Sperryville died Tuesday, June 29, 1976, in Gordonsville Hospital. She was the widow of James Rodes Brown and the daughter of the late William Jackson and Frances Claire Wood Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. P. Lee Thornton Jr. ofSperryville and Mrs. Paul Thompson of Fork Union; two sons, J. Rodes Brown Jr. of Tazewll and W. Jack Brown of Hamilton; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. A brother, James Smith of Culpeper, also survives.

A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. A. Paul Thompson at 2 p.m. in the Woodville Cemetery.

Pallbearers include J. Rodes Brown HI, Bill Fletcher, David Brown, W. H. Lyne, E. M. Jones and Frank Hume.

Clore Funeral Home, Culpeper was in charge of arrangements.
