the programs and services you have read about in this publication are administered or contracted for by the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services Board. The 15 members of the Board represent the citizens of the five counties served. Three members are appointed by each of the 5 counties' Boards of Supervisors. The Board by state law J$ responsible for reviewing all public and private mental health - mental retardation services in the 5 county area, evaluating how effective they are, and deciding what new services are needed. Funds from Federal, State, and Local governments are received and managed by die Board to provide necessary services.
