Campsites Closed

Ben. H. Bolen, Commissioner of Virginia State Parks, announced today that State Park campsites closed for the winter season on November 28.

Bolen noted that in previous years cabin reservations could be made beginning January 1. For the 1978 season, however, cabin and campsite reservations may be made beginning April 3, 1978, at 10:00 a.m.

Bolen also announced an increase in the service charge for individual cabin or campsite reservations from $1.50 to $1.75. There is no service charge for reservations made in person at any State Park which has a reservation terminal.

Additional information on location of reservation terminals or procedures may be obtained by calling (toll-free in Virginia) 1-800-582-8012, or by contacting the Division of State Parks, 1201 State Office Building, Capitol Square, Richmond, Virginia 23219. (Telephone: 1-804786-2134.)
