Arundel Meets
With Carter
News executive Arthur W. Arundel last week met with President Carter at the White House. A White House spokesman said the meeting came at the President’s invitation as part of a series of talks the President is having with news and business executives from around the nation.
Arundel, a business executive and publisher of a group of Virginia newspapers, including The Fauquier Democrat, spent the entire day, Dec. 9, at the White House, meeting also with other members of the President’s staff.
Arundel said the meetings covered a range of both domestic and international subjects.
Last year Arundel organized and headed Carter’s initial Presidential primary campaign in Virginia.

A Christmas program will be held at Hope Hill Baptist Church Friday, Dec. 23 at 7:30 p.m. the public is invited.
