With the right kind of planning and the use of frost resistent plants it’s possible
to still be harvesting |lt Christmas, Nesbitt encourages gardeners. Her garden attests to that, with the Brussel sprouts, broccoli, chard, cabbages and onions it continues to produce.
Besides her work as a parttime instructor at Lord Fairfax, Nesbitt, who lives at Mt. Olive, is under contract with Rodale Press. She just completed work on a book, Good-bye to the Flush Water Toilet, and is presently writing a book about drinking water. She contributes to Organic Farming Magazine, published by Rodale Press, and acts as coordinator of the garden section of the Virginia Association of Biological Farmers.
